  1. It’s a fascinating broadcast, especially since Hope’s writers adapted the Norman Krasna script to make it more of a Hope vehicle. He and Carole have fine comedic chemistry, and had Carole lived, I am certain they would have collaborated on film

  2. I liked his twist on Mr.Smith during this broadcast as well. (His curtain call was cute too!) Hope and Lombard would have been MAD, MAD, MAD on screen. So screwy!

  5. Thanks Carla. After listening to more of these radio shows, it appears that the actors always had fun with it. I gotta say that Hope certainly upstaged Lombard. But she had her screwy outlandish moments as well. Too bad they didn’t get a chance to be on film together.
