Carole Lombard Portrait I’ve uploaded 30 new pictures today to the Photo Archives including gorgeous portraits and photos from films including No Man of Her Own, Hands Across The Table, and White Woman. So go and enjoy them!

I also wanted to give all of you the heads up on some of the new happenings in store for CaroleLombard.org.

One of the most common questions I get from all of you is: “I am looking for the film ___. Do you have it? Can I borrow it?” I want Carole’s films accessible to all her fans and if that means creating and operating a film library from this site- so be it.

All of Carole’s films, with the exception of A Perfect Crime 1921 and some of her Fox films from 1925-1926, will soon be available for rent or purchase on the site.

I am still working out the details but ideally this would work like your regular library or video store where you can “check-out” a film for a small fee. When I say small, I mean shipping and handling. So for the individuals who have asked to borrow They Knew What They Wanted: please be patient. I promise you can see it soon!

Also, any of you who are willing to donate extra copies of Carole Lombard films on VHS or DVD e-mail me at info@carolelombard.org. I’d be most grateful. This way we won’t have a bunch of people waiting to see a film that has only two copies circulating.

What do you think? Questions, comments, concerns? Suggestions are always swell!

I will updated you more on this new feature but my number one priority these days is to finish the book on Carole! It’s been a challenge juggling the book, the site, and all the new projects I come up with for Missy. But I enjoy every minute of it and I love all of you who help to make it all possible. Even those of you who don’t- I STILL love you.

And to my fellow Seattlelites: WE HAVE SUNSHINE! HURRAY!

For some reason, this pic reminds me of one of Vivien leigh’s, idk why, but it’s so gorgeous! *off to check out the gallery*

  2. WebMistress says:

She DOES look like Vivien! Very Waterloo Bridge-ish too. I just came back from your gallery. Gosh I need to visit London . . . Like NOW.

So you’ve decided to put that archive of yours to use eh? And you were howling when I told you to open a library. LOVE YOU girly.

P.S. I watched Safety In Numbers tonight. Buddy is fine. Thank you!

Aww, how nice! I just uploaded some new pics of Durham Cottage. You should got to London, I had an amazing time! I think you should do a Carole trip to…Indiana or something, or Hollywood!

  5. WebMistress says:

Next month is all Carole: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and then Indiana in April.

I was supposed to do Los Angeles a few weeks ago but two of my V.I.P.’s got held up in London ironically.

Retirement sounds like so much fun.

LULU: I love you too and maybe one day I shall open a library. I’m glad you liked Safety In Numbers and Buddy. The songs are catchy aren’t they? You should watch It Pays To Advertise. It features the other Lulu aka your love.
