HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!
It’s been one year since CaroleLombard.org went online! On April 21, 2008 I bought the domain name thinking I’d create a small little tribute for Miss Lombard. My how things have changed! Next came a blog, the Photo Archives, contests, and now a book.
THANK YOU! Yes you. All of you- for helping to keep Carole Lombard’s legacy alive and kicking! This site would be nothing without you.
Maintaining this site and all the other projects that go with it has been a lot of work but every minute of it is worth it. In 1938 Lombard shared some wise words that I think really sum up my own attitude towards this site. She said:
“I love everything I do. I’m intensely interested in and enthusiastic about everything I do, everything. No matter what it is I’m doing, no matter how trivial, it isn’t trivial to me. I give it all I got and I love it.”
Here’s to another year of love, light, and lots of Lombard!!

Congratulations, Carla! I just ADORE this site and feel so at home here. You convey such a feeling of “Come on in, relax, have fun, enjoy yourself while you’re here!” which may be the best and truest tribute one could make to our Carole. I think coming here is the next best thing to actually being able to spend time with her, and I hope you are here for a long, long time!
