She Gets Decree In Nevada, Holding Powell Too Temperamental
Carson City, Nev., August 18 (AP)— Declaring her husband had too much temperament, Carole Lombard, film star, today divorced the actor William Powell.
Mr. Powell was “a very emotional man, cruel and cross in manner of language,” she said, and had displayed his temper almost repeatedly from the day of their marriage in Los Angeles twenty-six months ago.
Mr. Powell did not contest the suit. Hearing of the case required only six minutes and in as many minutes more Miss. Lombard was on her way to Reno, whence she planned to fly to Hollywood.
