Tally’s Lombard Treasures: Part 4
Welcome to Part 4 in this awesome series we have been having with Miss-y Tally sharing her Carole Lombard-ilia with all of us. Lots of items today so let’s get to it!
“There are 2 shots of the brown dress with THE corsage of fake flowers Clark had made at MGM. The letter verifying this from Kay Gable is here).”

“Also the feathered turban, and the copper-panel dress. Forgive me the long shot isn’t very clear, but the closeup of the top is better, Very plain by itself but with a fur and accessories.”

“Lastly in this bunch the beaded bag from the 1920s. NOT ONE Bead is missing despite [being] torn inside. She must have enjoyed carrying it.”

Stunning. All of them. Once again I’d like to give a big THANK YOU to Tally for being so generous with CaroleLombard.org. We LOVE you.
If you have any Lombard-ilia of your own you’d like to share, shoot us an e-mail at info@carolelombard.org and you’ll be automatically entered in our April Carole Lombard Content Give Away.
Lots of love and light everyone.

NEW CAROLE LOMBARD BIOGRAPHY

I LOVE this website devoted to Miss Lombard and especially viewing all the lovely items once belonging to Carole and now Tally’s!!!How fortunate that these items fell in to the right hands. I would love to see the letter Kay Gable wrote about the brown dress and flowers that Clark had made. Is it possible to post it?? Kay had to be kind and thoughtful to have preserved this special dress. Thanks and keep up all the good work you do in keeping alive Carole Lombard!!
Such a treat to see all these things! I am glad so much has survived. That beaded purse is a gem!
Wow! I’ve been away from here for a few days and look what I’ve missed! What a thrill to see the photos of all of these wonderful things. They totally fascinate me! Tally, thanks for your generosity in sharing them and thanks also to Carla for this exquisite site. Love it, love it, love it!
Pam: Thank you for your kind comments and all your support. I’ll e-mail Tally about the letter. Kay was said to have been very considerate about Carole and unlike some of the other women in Gable’s life who tried to make him forget her, she encouraged his memories of Carole.
Rose: I agree with you. The beaded purse is a winner!
Debbie: You can add us to your RSS if that that makes things easier to “keep tabs”. Thank you for your kind comments and support as well. We love, love, love YOU! xoxo
Thank you, Carla, for acknowledging my post. I really really enjoy this website devoted to Carole, and find myself becoming addicted…;-) Also a big thank you to all the devoted Carole fans for sharing their expertise and collection with us. I have read that Kay was very understanding and considerate of Clark’s eternal devotion to Carole, and she had to be a special lady to make such allowances. The brown dress which Tally is entrusted with is proof of this, and hope Tally doesn’t feel an intrusion in sharing such a private personal letter of Kay Gable’s.
Pam
Of course girl!! And there are worse things to become addicted to you know . . . lol.
