Original Caption: (LA2)PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 26, 1940 AILING SHOULDER SENDS GABLE TO EASTERN HOSPITAL– Film actor Clark Gable, accompanied by his wife, Carole Lombard, left by train today for Baltimore where he will enter Johns Hopkins Hospital for examination for an ailing shoulder.

The Gables Going To See The Doctor

Original Caption: Ba1 BALTIMORE, DEC 30, 1940 — GOING TO SEE THE DOCTOR– Clark Gable and his wife, Carole Lombard are entering the office of a Johns Hopkins hospital physician where the movie hero was to have an old shoulder injury examined. Gable said it was expected he would enter the hospital afterward for three or four days.

Before returning home they were also guests of President Roosevelt at the White House.
