What Did Carole Lombard Keep On Her Dressing Table?
Look what Carolyn sent! “This is the framed photo of Clark as a toddler that Carole kept on her dressing table,” she says. “Apparently it was the only photo of Clark she kept in her room.”

He even had the signature smirk when he was two. *pinches cheeks* awwww
Carolyn..THATS a Honey!Thank u for sending. Where did you find it?
I believe that photo was auctioned at Christie’s in June 2006, Lot 40 and it sold for $780!
That’s peanuts!!!
I thought so also. I was so upset with myself for not trying to bid on anything as I thought prices would go through the roof. The famous dining room table which they would had “weathered” went for less than $3000.00! Not a steal, but not bad for Carole fans.
There were many things/photos in that Christie’s catalogue that I had forgotten about so looking at it again last night was quite a pleasure.
What! One photographer of Carole recently sold for over $20,000 and it was a widely circulated one. No rights given either. That person probably could have bought the entire Gable kitchen at the rate some of their belongings have been selling at. Lordy, Lordy.
That is where it came from, Christie’s. I cherish it.
